Agility Foundation

for teams ready for off leash work

In this class we teach all the foundation behaviors your dog needs to be safe and successful in agility, whether you are just having some fun or you are on the competition track. We will cover body awareness, core strength, obstacle and handler focus, shadow handling, and beginning obstacle training (table, tunnel, jumps, contacts and weaves) and more! Dogs and handlers will stay in this class until they attain all the foundation skills needed for Agility Intermediate, typically for 4-6 months.

Prerequisite: To begin agility foundation classes, dogs must have instructor permission. Dogs must be 12 months of age or older and able to work with their handlers in an exciting environment off leash. A solid training foundation that includes sit, down, stay, and a solid recall off distractions is important to ensure the safety and efficiency of group agility classes.
