policies

  1. Refunds/Cancellations. Group class students must cancel at least 3 days before the start of their class to be granted a refund or credit. Cancellations made after this will not be refunded or credited. Private lesson students must cancel or reschedule with 24 hour advance notice. Cancellations or rescheduling done from 24 to 1 hour before the lesson time will be charged 50% of the lesson fee. Cancellations or rescheduling done within one hour or no shows will be charged the lesson fee.

  2. Missed classes. Make up classes will not be provided for missed classes. The instructor may choose to offer make up classes at their discretion and generosity, but make-up classes are not guaranteed.

  3. Inclement Weather. If Weather Underground (weather app) predicts temperatures for North Bend below 32 degrees or above 90 degrees during a class hour, the class will be cancelled and refunds/credits will be offered. Cancellations will be made at least an hour before scheduled class time by the instructor via phone or text whenever possible.

  4. Road conditions. Instructors may choose to cancel classes due to unsafe road conditions at their discretion. Students will be notified by the instructor at least one hour before their scheduled class time by phone or text whenever possible. Students will be offered refunds/credits.

  5. Instructor Illness. Instructors may choose to cancel classes in the case of their own health, and whenever possible need to notify students by phone or text at least one hour before the start of class. Students will be offered refunds/credits.

  6. Dog or Human Student Illness. If a student misses class because they must quarantine for Covid, they will be refunded for the missed classes. Likewise, if they miss class because their dog is sick with a communicable illness, they will be refunded for the missed class. This exception to the refund policy is to promote Kinship community safety.

  7. Canine Vaccinations. We expect every dog attending training at Kinship to be up to date on his/her vaccinations or to have been tested for antibody titers for Distemper, Parvo and Rabies. Puppies must have age-appropriate vaccinations.
