Nail Trim workshops

Making nail care at home easy and stress-free for you and your dog

Do you and your dog struggle with nail trims? Come learn how to cooperate so that this regular care is easy and stress free for both of you! Pre-requisite: Manners 1, Puppy 2, or instructor permission. Contact heather@trailreadydog.com for permission.

What to bring:

-You will need to bring your dog’s favorite toys, the best treats they’ve ever had (or never had), your fast feet, and a joyful demeanor.

-Your dog! Preferably hungry and having been given a potty break prior to class.

-flat buckle collar or body harness. Please no prong collars or slip/choke collars.

-6 to 10 foot nylon leash. Please no flexi/retractable leashes.

-treat pouch. A fanny pack, climber’s chalk bag, or hardware apron will work well too!

-treats! At least 2 cups of tiny, pea-sized delicious treats. Your treats need to be more exciting than the environment, so hot dogs, ham, and cheese all work well. PLEASE USE NON-CRUMBLY TREATS. Dropped treats are very distracting for dogs training after you.
