Stress-less veterinary care
make vet visits more manageable for your canine companion
stress-less veterinary care workshop
The ability to calmly accept necessary veterinary procedures makes a huge difference in your dog’s quality of life. We’ll cover tips & tricks you can start implementing right away; taking medicine without a struggle, being comfortable in the clinic, intro to muzzle training, intro to stress-free vaccines & blood draws.
Prerequisites: Dogs & handlers must be familiar with clicker/marker training & timing. Dogs must be able to comfortably work within 10ft of other dogs/people without excessive barking.
What to bring:
-Your dog! Preferably hungry and having been given a potty break prior to class.
-flat buckle collar and/or body harness. Please no prong collars or slip/choke collars.
-one 6ft leash and one longer leash, between 8ft and 20 ft long. Please no flexi/retractable leashes.
-treat pouch. A fanny pack, climber’s chalk bag, or hardware apron will work well too!
-treats! At least 2 cups of tiny, pea-sized delicious treats. Your treats need to be more exciting than the environment, so hot dogs, ham, and cheese all work well. PLEASE USE NON-CRUMBLY TREATS. Dropped treats are very distracting for dogs training after you.
