Emily Strong: unlock behavior change with enrichment
connect with your dog more profoundly to reach mutually beneficial goals
unlocking behavior change with enrichment
Do you want to take your dog with you to parks, cafes, hiking, and on weekend trips, but your dog’s fear, aggression, or hyperarousal prevents them from joining you? If you’ve tried various training techniques with limited success or found the training tedious or unsustainable, there is an alternative.
In this half-day seminar, we’ll explore behavior change through an enrichment framework. This approach allows us to connect with our dogs more profoundly and enables us to reach a mutually beneficial goal efficiently and effectively.
Learning objectives
At the end of this workshop, attendees will be able to:
Assess their dog’s unmet needs
Perform a consent test
Perform a variety of preference tests
Use a dog’s existing behaviors to empower them to communicate their preferences
Create an enrichment plan for their dog based on their dog’s preferences and needs
